Who can become a Member?
To become a member of AFILIATYS you need to be an official or other agent of the European Union Institutions, agencies and European « Offices », EIB, the European Institute of Florence, the diplomatic or consular services of the Member States, the European schools, the International organizations who are in active service or who have occupied an official fonction within one of these entities.
Why become a member of Afiliatys?
It is the sine qua non condition to subscribe to HOSPI SAFE, the JSIS’s complementary health insurance concluded with ALLIANZ CARE after call for tender and to benefit from the advantages proposed by AFILIATYS’s partners.
How much does it cost?
A unique registration fee of 5 euros makes you a lifetime member. This fee, very low as we are all aware, is a mandatory condition linked to the legal frame of non-profit associations, such as Afiliatys.

When will my subscription be effective?
You will become a member as soon as the registration steps have been completed and the membership fee of 5 euros transferred to our account. You should however be expecting 5 days between the day of your bank transfer and the confirmation email that you will receive with your membership number and access codes to our website.
What is Afiliatys?
Afiliatys is an apolitical and inter institutional association. It consists of 45.000 members. It is managed by EU Officials, actives and retired. All are volunteers.
How can I receive my Membership Card?
Membership Cards are not sent by our office anymore. You will soon be able to print your card from your account.
How can I liaise with an Afiliatys contact person?
AFILIATYS is not abl to respond to the questions of its 45 000 members concerning this FAQ. You can send an e-mail to info@afiliatys.eu and we will reply quickly.
How long will it take to receive an anwser to my questions?
Afiliatys is doing its best to come back to you as quickly as possible. However, as our secretariat is handled by volunteers, kindly allow us 2 to 5 days in order to answer your emails. We thank you for your understanding.
